Police are continuing to investigate a series of Pride flag thefts and acts of mischief in Norwich Township and are asking the public for help identifying those responsible.
The Oxford OPP said multiple reports involving stolen or damaged Pride flags have been received since June 1, 2026. The investigation now includes members of the West Region Major Crime Unit and the West Region Community Street Crime Unit.
Investigators are asking residents and businesses to review surveillance footage for suspicious people or vehicles recorded between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. from June 1 to the present.
Police are particularly interested in video from the areas around Emily Stowe School, Norwich United Church, East Oxford Public School, Stover Street North and Jerdon Street.
To assist the investigation, the OPP has created a secure online portal where members of the public can upload photos or video they believe may help identify those involved.
Video footage or photos can be securely submitted here.
Officers are also reminding residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity immediately.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Oxford OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can also be provided through Crime Stoppers.
