Two people are dead following a serious crash involving an off-road utility vehicle and a sport utility vehicle in Norfolk County.
The collision happened shortly after 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, at the intersection of Blue Line Road and Concession 6 of Woodhouse. Members of the Norfolk County OPP, Norfolk County Fire Department and Norfolk County Paramedic Services responded to the scene.
According to West Region OPP Sergeant Ed Sanchuk, the driver of the SUV was taken to hospital with injuries that have not yet been determined.
Three people were travelling in the off-road utility vehicle. One occupant was taken to hospital with injuries, while the driver and another passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team is assisting with the investigation.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash, or who may have dash camera footage, to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
In a social media post Sergeant Sanchuk also thanked Good Samaritans who stopped to help and extended condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
