Patients with appointments at Norfolk Family Health Team clinics in Simcoe and Delhi are being advised of temporary closures caused by a hydro outage affecting operations.
The Norfolk Family Health Team announced that all clinics in both communities would be closed on Friday, June 12, due to an unexpected power outage beyond the organization’s control.
Officials say the loss of electricity has disrupted several critical systems required for daily operations, including access to electronic medical records, telephone communications, email services, and appointment scheduling systems.
Without access to those systems, clinic staff are unable to provide normal patient services safely and effectively.
The health team says patients who had appointments scheduled for Friday will be contacted and arrangements will be made to reschedule visits for a later date.
