Police have charged a Norfolk County driver with several driving-related offences following a traffic stop in Delhi.
The Norfolk County OPP says an officer stopped a vehicle on James Street at about 11:16 p.m. on June 3 and launched an investigation. During the stop, police determined the driver was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle under both provincial and federal laws.
As a result, 39-year-old Norfolk County resident was arrested without incident and charged with operation while prohibited under provincial law, operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code, driving while under suspension, and failing to have an insurance card.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on July 21, 2026, to answer to the charges.
