The Norfolk County Agricultural Society is inviting residents to the Norfolk Night Market, returning to the Norfolk County Fairgrounds in Simcoe on today (June 5) and tomorrow (June 6).
Running from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. each day, the event will bring together more than 50 local vendors, artisans, makers, food vendors, community organizations, and local beverage producers for two evenings focused on supporting local businesses and celebrating community connections.
Visitors can browse a wide variety of handmade goods, artisan products, specialty foods, home décor, gifts, and other unique items while enjoying live music and entertainment throughout the event. Food trucks and vendors will also be on-site, along with local beer, wine, and cider producers.
Organizers say the event is designed to be family-friendly, with activities and interactive experiences available for all ages. Children can take part in games and activities while adults can explore shopping opportunities and entertainment throughout the fairgrounds.
New this year are hands-on workshops led by local artists and makers. Participants can register for wood painting and stained glass workshops, offering an opportunity to learn new skills and create a take-home project. Space for the workshops is limited and advance registration is required.
Admission is $5 for adults, while children 12 and under are admitted free. Proceeds from the event will support the Norfolk County Agricultural Society and help fund agricultural education programs, facility improvements, community events, and other initiatives at the fairgrounds.
“The Night Market has become much more than a shopping event,” said Angela Hogeveen, General Manager of the Norfolk County Agricultural Society. “It’s a place where people gather, discover local businesses, enjoy great food and entertainment, and spend quality time together.”
The Norfolk Night Market takes place June 5 and 6 at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds, located at 172 South Drive in Simcoe. Organizers say the event offers something for everyone, whether visitors are looking for unique gifts, local food, live entertainment, creative experiences, or a family outing.
Additional information, workshop registration details, and volunteer opportunities are available through the Norfolk County Agricultural Society.
