Residents across Norfolk County are once again showing their support for local healthcare, helping raise more than $75,000 through this year’s Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign.
The fundraiser, held from April 27 to May 3, saw participating Tim Hortons locations in Simcoe, Port Dover, Delhi, and Waterford donate all proceeds from Smile Cookie sales to the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation. The money will go toward a new echocardiogram (Echo) machine for the hospital.
Each cookie sold helped support the foundation’s efforts to bring essential equipment to local patients and staff.
Executive Director Sarah Muntz-Flowerday thanked the community for its ongoing support, saying the generosity of residents; along with the hard work of Tim Hortons owners, staff, and volunteers, continues to make a real difference.
The Smile Cookie campaign is a national initiative supporting charities across Canada. Locally, organizers say this year’s total is another strong example of the community coming together to support healthcare—one cookie at a time.
