The race to become Norfolk County’s next mayor continues to expand ahead of the 2026 municipal election.
Local realtor Rhyus Reeves has officially filed nomination papers to run for mayor, becoming the latest candidate to join the campaign.
Reeves joins former Norfolk County councillor Noel Haydt, former Haldimand County mayor Ken Hewitt, and current Ward 5 councillor Doug Brunton in the race.
The growing field follows current Mayor Amy Martin announcing earlier that she will not seek re-election, guaranteeing Norfolk County will have a new mayor following the October municipal vote.
