Join us for a fun, free evening of board gaming! Bring your own or jump in and play from a wide selection of games like Catan, Scythe, Dominion, Lords of Waterdeep, Jenga, Word Slam, and more. Whether you’re a seasoned strategist or brand new to board games, there’s something for everyone. It’s a great way to make memories, meet new people, and have a blast. No experience necessary just bring your game face! (Minors must be accompanied by an adult.)
Today: The Port Dover and Woodhouse Horticultural Society is holding a Charity Live Auction at Grace United Church from 7 until 9 p.m. Funds raised will help maintain ten community gardens in Port Dover, including the local food bank vegetable garden. Organizers say a variety of items will be up for bid, with cash or cheque accepted for purchases.
Tomorrow: Waterford and District Horticultural Society Annual Plant Sale at Foodland Waterford on Old Highway 24 from 8:00 am – Noon
This much anticipated spring event features a wide variety of locally grown plants, seedlings, perennials, herbs, and garden treasures — all prepared and donated by dedicated volunteers. Proceeds from the sale support the Society’s community beautification projects, public plantings, and educational programs that help keep Waterford blooming. Visitors can also enter a Basket Draw – Tickets will be on Sale for a draw for a beautiful garden basket, learn more about the Society’s activities, and browse items from the annual merchandise fundraiser, which runs online from May 4 to May 24. Our plant sale is a wonderful way to connect with fellow gardeners and support the green spaces that make our town special, we’re excited to welcome everyone back for another year of community spirit and spring colour. Sales can be done by cash or etransfer.
