Brantford Police have arrested and charged a 35-year-old Brantford man in connection with what investigators describe as an ongoing sexual assault investigation involving multiple alleged victims.
Police say the investigation began in 2025, and since November of that year, multiple victims have been identified.
As a result of the investigation, Zachary Steele of Brantford has been charged with numerous offences, including sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, voyeurism, forcible confinement, assault, distribution of intimate images without consent, and bestiality-related offences.
Investigators allege some offences involved victims under the age of 16.
Police say Steele was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody.
Members of the Brantford Police Service Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit believe there may be additional victims in Brantford and other communities who have not yet come forward.
Investigators say the accused is known within the local Live Action Role Play community and allegedly used several online aliases, including SteeleEgg, Steel242, TheSteele, Bastardofsteele, and Plotsteelr on online platforms, including FetLife.com.
Police say the accused’s identity is being released in an effort to encourage any additional victims or witnesses to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Brantford Police Service or Brant-Brantford Crime Stoppers.
