Ontario lottery officials are urging players to check their LOTTO 6/49 tickets after a $5 million jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Oxford County during Wednesday night’s draw.
The winning ticket captured the Classic Draw jackpot, instantly creating Ontario’s newest multimillionaire.
Officials say several other major prizes were also won across the province, adding to a night of significant lottery success.
Among the additional prizes was a $1 million Gold Ball Draw winning ticket sold through OLG.ca, as well as a second-prize ticket worth more than $184,000 sold in Grey County.
Another player also won a $100,000 ENCORE prize online.
