A surprise announcement from the World’s Finest Show should have kids jumping for joy in Norfolk County.
They are hosting a pop-up carnival this week at the Fairgrounds, running Wednesday to Sunday, offering residents several days to take in the attractions as the spring season gets underway.
The announcement was made online by Daryl Granger, the man behind the documentary “The Showmen” – which is all about the work that goes behind the scenes at the World’s Finest Show.
The carnival will open at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with expanded hours beginning at noon on both Saturday and Sunday.
The schedule gives families flexibility to attend after school or work during the week, or to make a full day of it on the weekend.
Unlike the tradition Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show – this is not a rain or shine event.
Rides are set up on grass, meaning rain could put a pause on the festivities.
