An individual has been charged following a sexual assault investigation in Haldimand County, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.
Police say the incident was reported on February 5, 2026, and is alleged to have occurred at a residence within the county. Following an investigation, officers arrested a 68-year-old individual from Dunnville on April 21.
The accused has been charged with sexual assault. Authorities have not released the individual’s name in order to protect the identity of the victim, a standard practice in cases of this nature.
The accused was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a future date.
Police have not released additional details about the circumstances of the incident, and the investigation is considered concluded at this time.
