An individual is facing multiple charges after an incident involving a stolen e-bike and alleged threats in Simcoe.
The Ontario Provincial Police say officers responded to a report of a theft in progress near the intersection of West Street and Head Street South on the evening of April 18.
Officers located a suspect nearby who was found in possession of the stolen e-bike and was taken into custody without incident.
Investigators say the individual had also allegedly made threats toward the owner of the e-bike and another person prior to police arriving.
A 46-year-old Norfolk County resident has been charged with multiple offences, including uttering threats, possession of property obtained by crime, and failing to comply with a release order.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe later this month.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing and remind the public that the charges have not been tested in court.
