An individual has been charged following a break-and-enter investigation in Simcoe.
The Ontario Provincial Police say officers were called to a residence on Grey Fox Lane in the early morning hours of April 19 after receiving a report of a break-in.
Police say the investigation determined that a suspect forcibly entered a home on the property before leaving the area.
Officers later located an individual matching the suspect description nearby and took them into custody without incident.
As a result, a 56-year-old Norfolk County resident has been charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe in early June.
Police remind residents to report suspicious activity promptly and note that charges have not been proven in court.
