A new pilot project is aiming to make school bus travel safer for students across Brant, Brantford, Haldimand, and Norfolk.
That was Phil Kuckyt, Manager of Transportation Services with Student Transportation Services Brant Haldimand Norfolk.
The pilot will start in September, with Kuckyt saying they were interested the second they heard about it.
The upgrades will make it easier for motorists to recognize when a bus is stopped – something motorists locally have trouble noticing.
At the end of the day, Kuckyt says it’s all about safety.
If successful, the initiative could help inform future decisions about adopting similar systems more broadly across the region.
