Spring cleaning season has arrived in Simcoe, and the community is being invited to pitch in outdoors.
Simcoe Strong is launching its first formal cleanup of the year with a collaborative effort on Wednesday, April 22nd, in celebration of Earth Day. The group is partnering with Aspira Cedar Crossing Retirement Living to tidy up Colonel Stalker Park and help get the space ready for the warmer months ahead.
Participants are asked to meet in the Cedar Crossing parking lot at 9:45 a.m., where water, light snacks, and all cleanup supplies will be provided. At 10 a.m., volunteers will head across the street together to begin the cleanup.
Organizers say the event is all about teamwork and building community connections, with a focus on working together rather than going it alone. They also hope other local groups will get involved in future cleanups planned throughout the year.
Anyone interested is encouraged to join the April 22nd effort or reach out to collaborate on upcoming initiatives.
