Norfolk County is advising residents of several closures and service disruptions over the Easter holiday weekend.
County administration buildings will be closed on Good Friday, April 3, and Easter Monday, April 6, with regular hours resuming Tuesday, April 7 at 8:30 a.m. Essential services, including fire and paramedic response, will continue to operate as usual throughout the holiday period.
The Provincial Offences Court at the Robinson Administration Building in Simcoe will also be closed. Housing and Social Services offices in Simcoe and Dunnville will not be open, though residents in need of emergency support can still access assistance through the Victim Services Support Line.
Cultural facilities, including local museums and the Norfolk County Archives, will be closed from Good Friday through Easter Monday, reopening Tuesday, April 7.
The Norfolk County Public Library will have all branches closed on Friday, April 3, Sunday, April 5, and Monday, April 6. However, digital services such as eBooks, audiobooks, and online learning resources will remain available.
Recreation facilities, including the Simcoe Recreation Centre, Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre, Delhi Friendship Centre, and local arenas, will also be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. Outdoor amenities such as trails and parks will remain open for public use.
Ride Norfolk transit service will not operate on Good Friday or Easter Monday, and ServiceNorfolk offices will also be closed, with regular hours resuming April 7. Residents can continue to submit non-urgent service requests online, while urgent municipal issues can be reported through the county’s after-hours line.
