The Ontario Elite Hockey League (OEHL) has announced its 2025-26 regular season award winners as playoff action ramps up across the province.
In the North Conference, Durham Thundercats captain Kyler Nixon earned both Most Valuable Player and Most Sportsmanlike Player honours. The defenceman led all blue-liners with 45 points while recording just six penalty minutes. Teammate Brody Leblanc claimed Top Scorer with 61 points.
In the South, Seaforth Centenaires goaltender Alex Hutcheson was named MVP after posting a strong 10-2 record, along with a 2.09 goals-against average and .928 save percentage. Delhi Flames forward Andrew Tapsell earned Most Sportsmanlike Player, while Elora Rocks’ Alex Uttley took the Top Scorer title.
The playoffs continue to heat up, with the Sr. “AA” Conference Finals set to begin this weekend, with Seaforth facing Elora in the South final and Ripley taking on Minto in the North.
Locally, the Delhi Flames finished the season 0-22, while the Tillsonburg Thunder posted a 14-19 record. Tillsonburg now advances to the Sr. “A” McLean Trophy final against Saugeen Shores.
