Residents in Norfolk County will soon have a chance to wipe the slate clean while helping others. The Norfolk County Public Library is bringing back its popular Fine Free Week from March 23 to 28 at all branches.
During the week, library users can have overdue fines waived by donating non-perishable food items or toiletries. All donations will support local food banks and Free Little Pantries across the community.
CEO Julie Kent says the initiative is a simple way to give back while reconnecting with the library, calling it “a small act that makes a big difference.”
The program applies only to overdue fines, not lost or damaged item fees. With the next opportunity months away, residents are encouraged to take part and start fresh.
