The county has announced a lineup of programs and activities running from March 14 to March 22 in communities across the region.
Programming will include day camps in Delhi and Port Dover, along with a Junior Lifeguard March Break Camp being offered in Simcoe.
Youth-focused programs will also be available during the break, including courses on home-alone safety and babysitting training.
Officials say these programs are designed to help young people develop important life skills while gaining confidence and independence.
Recreation facilities will also be hosting a variety of drop-in activities throughout the week.
The Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre will offer daily family and public swimming sessions during March Break.
Local arenas will also be open with daily skating programs, including public skating, shinny hockey, sticks and pucks sessions, and parent-and-child skates.
In addition, Norfolk’s museums will offer a variety of drop-in activities and games throughout the week, providing additional indoor entertainment options for families.
Residents interested in registering for programs can do so online through the county’s recreation registration system, in person at the Simcoe Recreation Centre, or by contacting Norfolk County directly.
Officials say the goal of the programming is to give families accessible and engaging activities during the school holiday while encouraging participation in local recreation programs.
