Paper report cards are set to return to Ontario public schools as the provincial government moves to provide families with more options for accessing student progress reports.
The office of Education Minister Paul Calandra confirmed Wednesday that the ministry is working to ensure report cards are available in printed format as well as digitally.
Many school boards have shifted to distributing report cards through online portals or password-protected email systems in recent years.
The government says adding a paper option will help ensure all families can easily access information about their child’s education.
The ministry has not yet provided a timeline for when paper report cards will become widely available again.
