The Port Dover Sailors are celebrating a milestone season for team captain Trevor Nunn, who has earned two of the Bloomfield Division’s highest individual honours from the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
Nunn has been named both the Bloomfield Division Most Valuable Player and Most Sportsmanlike Player for the 2025–2026 season — a rare and impressive double recognition that speaks not only to his skill level, but also to his character on and off the ice.
The Most Valuable Player award recognizes the athlete judged to have had the greatest overall impact on his team’s success throughout the season.
Meanwhile, the Most Sportsmanlike Player award highlights respect for opponents and officials, discipline, leadership and integrity — qualities the Sailors say Nunn demonstrates every time he laces up his skates.
Team officials describe their captain as someone who leads by example, combining elite play with composure and sportsmanship.
