Residents looking to plan their warmer months can now explore the new Spring and Summer Recreation and Community Guide from Norfolk County.
The guide offers a wide variety of programs designed to support healthy lifestyles, skill development and community engagement for residents of all ages.
Programs include aquatic activities, fitness classes, day camps and heritage programming for children, teens, adults and adults 50-plus.
Registration for spring programs and swimming lessons opens February 24 at noon, while summer program registration begins May 4 at noon.
Residents can register online through ENCORE, by phone through Recreation Customer Service, or in person at the Simcoe Recreation Centre.
Officials encourage early registration, as popular programs tend to fill quickly.
Beyond recreation, the guide also highlights local events, volunteer opportunities, parks, trails and community facilities.
It includes information on library programming, museum exhibits, social services, emergency preparedness and waste collection.
Printed copies are available at libraries, arenas, museums and ServiceNorfolk locations, and the guide can also be viewed online.
