Residents who rely on bulk water services in Port Rowan are being advised that the Port Rowan Bulk Water Depot is temporarily out of service due to operational challenges caused by winter ice conditions.
Norfolk County says the closure took effect yesterday (February 16) and will remain in place until further notice.
The disruption is linked to limitations in safely operating the system during current weather and ice conditions.
County officials say access to clean drinking water remains available through other bulk water depots across the municipality.
Alternative locations include Simcoe, Waterford, Delhi, and Port Dover.
Norfolk County is encouraging residents to plan ahead and use the alternate sites while crews continue to monitor conditions at the Port Rowan facility. No timeline has been provided for when full service is expected to resume.
The county thanked residents for their patience and understanding as staff work to restore operations once conditions improve.
