Lynnwood Arts has announced that Executive Director Kim Shippey will be stepping down from her role, effective March 31.
Shippey has led the organization for the past four years, guiding its growth and strengthening its role in the local arts community. Board chair Paul Hammond praised her leadership and impact.
“During the past four years, Kim has led the organization with dedication and care, strengthening Lynnwood Arts’ programs, partnerships, and connection to the community,” Hammond said.
Shippey said she is proud of what has been achieved during her time with the organization. “It has been a true privilege to work with Lynnwood Arts,” she said, thanking the board, donors, sponsors, partners, and the wider community for their support. She added that their belief in the arts helped the organization continue to champion artists and creativity.
Hammond also offered thanks on behalf of the board for Shippey’s lasting contributions.
The Lynnwood Arts board will begin the search for a new Executive Director, with an appointment expected in March.
