A Norfolk County man is facing numerous criminal charges after police seized firearms and drugs during a search in Port Dover.
Norfolk County OPP’s Preventing Auto Theft Unit and the Haldimand/Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a property on St. Andrew Street on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. The warrant was issued as part of an investigation into stolen property.
One individual was found at the location and taken into custody without incident. During the search, officers seized multiple firearms and ammunition, along with suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl.
As a result, 31-year-old Matthew Brisseau of Norfolk County has been charged with a total of 19 offences, including firearm possession, careless storage, possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose, and possession of Schedule I substances. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Friday, January 30.
