Police are asking for the public’s assistance as they continue to investigate a stabbing in Dunnville earlier this month.
According to the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, officers were called to a residence on Lock Street on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at approximately 5:25 p.m., following a report of a stabbing. Members of the OPP were assisted by the West Region Emergency Response Team in responding to the call.
When officers arrived, they located an individual suffering from injuries caused by an edged weapon. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment and police say the injuries were non-life-threatening.
Investigators believe three individuals were involved in the incident. Two suspects are described as being of medium build, wearing dark clothing and face coverings. The third suspect is described as having a slim build and was also wearing dark clothing and a face covering.
Police say the incident is believed to be isolated and there is no ongoing threat to public safety. The investigation remains active, and officers are appealing to residents and businesses in the area to review security camera footage that may help identify the individuals involved.
