The shelter-in-place order issued for parts of Six Nations of the Grand River has now been lifted.
OPP and Six Nations Police say the advisory was put in place earlier as officers responded to an active incident involving two individuals who were believed to be armed.
Residents in the affected area were asked to remain indoors as a precaution while police secured the scene and ensured public safety.
Authorities say further information about the incident is expected to be released at a later time.
