Norfolk County OPP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a shoplifting incident at a business in Simcoe.
Police say officers responded to a report of shoplifting at a store on Queensway East on Tuesday, December 30, at approximately 2:51 p.m.
Investigators allege that an unidentified individual entered the store, concealed merchandise, and attempted to leave without paying.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian female wearing glasses, a black jacket, and a grey toque.
After being confronted by a store employee, the individual fled the scene on foot and is believed to have travelled through the Berkeley Crescent and Thorncliffe Road area.
A photograph of the suspect has been released by police in hopes that members of the public may recognize her.
