Yesterday (Monday), Norfolk County residents experienced disruptions to municipal services due to winter weather.
The South Walsingham Transfer Station was closed because of a power outage.
Residents were advised to use the Simcoe Transfer Station as an alternative.
Normal operations at South Walsingham are expected to resume tomorrow, Wednesday, December 31, at 10:00 a.m., and officials recommend checking the county’s website or notification system before visiting any municipal facility.
Ride Norfolk bus service, which was suspended on Monday due to snow-covered roads and poor visibility, is currently running today.
While service has resumed, weather conditions remain challenging, and there could be delays or possible cancellations throughout the day.
Riders are encouraged to monitor the Ride Norfolk website and social media channels for the latest updates, and to exercise caution if travel is necessary.
Passengers should plan extra time for trips, as icy or snow-packed roads may continue to affect schedules.
