More information is emerging in the ongoing search for 17-year-old Autymn Steele-Cluckie of Haldimand County, who has been missing since December 10.
Many of the newly shared details were provided by Autymn’s mother during a weekend interview with CHCH News, as the family continues to appeal for public assistance.
According to her mother, Autymn was last seen at her home near Rainham Road and Sandusk Road around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
She is on the autism spectrum, functions at a younger developmental level, and was off her mental health medication at the time she went missing, factors that place her at higher risk.
The family discovered Autymn was missing early Thursday morning after noticing the back door of the home was open and security cameras appeared to have been tampered with.
Based on these circumstances, her family believes she did not leave voluntarily, a concern that has heightened the urgency of the search.
Haldimand OPP continue to investigate and urge anyone with information about Autymn Steele-Cluckie’s whereabouts to contact police at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
