Austin’s Pumpkin Patch is celebrating after raising more than $24,000 this fall in support of the Juravinski Cancer Centre. Now in its eighth year, the popular community event continues to grow and inspire strong local support.
Organizers recently presented a cheque to the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation and say they are thrilled with the response. Their overall goal is to surpass $25,000, and donations remain open. The HHSF online donation page will stay active until December 31, 2025, giving residents more time to contribute.
Every dollar raised goes directly toward purchasing vital cancer treatment equipment. This year’s focus is on immobilization boards, used to position patients safely and precisely during radiation therapy.
Organizers say the success reflects the community’s generosity and ongoing commitment to cancer care.
