Three people have been charged after the Norfolk County OPP investigated three separate intimate partner violence incidents over the weekend.
The first incident happened late Friday, November 28, when officers responded to a home just after 11:00 p.m. Police say an altercation inside the residence led to one person being assaulted and threatened. A 62-year-old Norfolk County resident was charged with assault – spousal and uttering threats.
On Saturday morning, November 29, officers were called to another reported assault. Police say an argument inside a vehicle escalated, leading to physical assault, threats, and property damage. A 38-year-old Norfolk County resident was charged with assault – spousal, uttering threats, mischief, and breach of recognizance.
A third call came Sunday evening, November 30, after an altercation inside a home. Police say one person was assaulted, and a 46-year-old Norfolk County resident was charged with assault – spousal.
All accused individuals are scheduled to appear in Simcoe court at later dates.
