A Norwich resident has been charged following a lengthy police investigation into a large-scale fraud case involving multiple victims.
On March 23, 2023, the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of suspected fraud. After further investigation, officers determined that six victims were defrauded of approximately $223,000. Police say the accused allegedly sold items to the victims but never delivered the products.
On November 20, 2025, officers arrested 61-year-old Abraham Koolmees of Norwich. He has been charged with Fraud Over $5,000.
Koolmees was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on January 6, 2026.
