A Dunnville resident is facing several criminal and provincial charges after an overnight traffic stop on Diltz Road that began when police observed a motorcycle travelling at what appeared to be an extremely high rate of speed. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on November 13, 2025, when officers initiated a stop due to safety concerns.
Once pulled over, police determined the driver was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle and was also under suspension. The individual was taken into custody without incident.
Further investigation uncovered additional violations, including the discovery of property believed to be obtained by crime.
Police have charged 40-year-old Thomas Stevenson of Dunnville with:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Operation While Prohibited Under the Criminal Code
Driving While Under Suspension
Fail to Surrender Insurance Card
Fail to Surrender Permit for Motor Vehicle
Red Light at Front
The OPP continues to remind drivers that high-risk behaviour on local roads poses dangers not only to the operator but to the entire community. The investigation remains ongoing.
