Norfolk General Hospital is inviting the community to learn more about preventing pressure injuries — often called bedsores — at a special open house on Tuesday, November 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will be held on the main floor of the hospital in the North South Conference Room and will feature vendors, healthcare partners, and members of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario. Attendees can ask questions, explore new tools, and take home practical strategies to help protect loved ones at home, in hospital, or in long-term care.
“Pressure injuries can affect anyone, whether at home, in hospital, or in care settings,” said Jennifer Edwards, Director of Quality, Clinical Practice and Risk at NGH. “By learning together, we can reduce risks and improve quality of life.”
The open house is part of NGH’s participation in the Best Practice Spotlight Organization program. Admission and parking are free.
