The Haldimand-Norfolk Homebuilders Association (HNHBA) is preparing for its biggest celebration yet as the annual Christmas Gala returns this season — and this year’s event promises to be the most exciting one to date.
Now decades strong, the traditional gathering of builders, suppliers, and industry partners has outgrown its former venue and will be hosted for the first time at MontHill Golf and Country Club in Caledonia on November 26th. The gala will feature keynote speaker Hon. Rob Flack, Ontario’s Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, who will share insights into Ontario’s housing strategy and the province’s efforts to support municipalities like Haldimand and Norfolk.
HNHBA President Ike Keesmaat says this is a great opportunity for the community to hear directly from from the Minister.
Keesmaat says the event brings together professionals from every corner of the local building industry — from developers and tradespeople to real estate agents and material suppliers — helping strengthen communication and collaboration across both counties. “It’s about connection,” he said. “When everyone’s in the same room, progress happens.”
Director Sarita Free said the gala will include a gingerbread house-building contest, door prizes, cocktails and plenty of networking opportunities.
With attendance expected to exceed 400 guests, organizers say they’re thrilled to see such strong engagement from the community and business leaders alike. The association currently represents 62 local businesses across Haldimand and Norfolk Counties — Free says they’re always inviting new members.
Tickets are available now through the HNHBA website at www.hnhba.com and you don’t need to be a member to attend. The event begins at 5 p.m. with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner and the keynote address.
