The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad has located and arrested a federal offender.
Officials confirmed that Michael Lockyer was taken into custody in Simcoe after an intensive search involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
Lockyer was serving a seven-year, ten-month, and seven-day sentence for four counts of sexual assault before breaching his parole.
He had been unlawfully at large since August 12th,
The Provincial R.O.P.E. Squad thanked the public and media for their assistance, emphasizing that community awareness played an important role in locating the offender.
