
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal three-vehicle collision that occurred just outside Simcoe on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Concession 13 Townsend and Blueline Road around 3:11 p.m. on October 15, 2025. The crash involved a cement truck, a sedan, and a sport utility vehicle (SUV).
Police say the driver of the SUV, a 79-year-old Norfolk County resident, suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The drivers of the cement truck and sedan, along with a passenger in the sedan, were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
Road closures were in place for several hours while investigators examined the scene. Concession 13 Townsend between Culver Road and Cockshutt Road, and Blueline Road between Concession 12 and 14 Townsend, have since reopened.
The OPP’s West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
