Families are invited to get into the Halloween spirit at Marburg Hall’s second annual Halloween Dance Party and Karaoke Night on Saturday, October 18, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Organizer Amanda Johnson said she started the event to create something fun for local children and families. “There’s always something for adults, but not always enough for kids – this brings everyone together,” she said.
Johnson told us what’s in store for those attending.
Last year’s event saw about 50 kids fill the hall with laughter and costumes, and this year’s celebration promises to be even bigger. We asked Johnson if the kids are brave enough to give karaoke a shot?
Even if your little one is not down for singing there are lots of games, prizes, and a costume contest with awards for funniest, scariest, and most creative outfits. Light snacks will be provided, and Halloween bracelets will be available for $1.
Johnson reminds that Marburg Hall is a non-profit community venue that hosts regular events.
Anyone interested in volunteering can call 519-583-9911.
Admission for the Halloween Dance Party is by donation, with proceeds supporting the Hall — so arrive early for lots of family fun.
