With only a handful of tickets left, Haldimand & Norfolk Women’s Services (HNWS) is inviting residents to an elegant Farm-to-Table Dinner fundraiser.
Located at Cranberry Creek Gardens on Thursday, October 23rd, it supports local programs that help survivors of abuse rebuild their lives.
The event features a chef-curated dinner by Ryan Devlin of Devlin’s Country Bistro, live music by local performer Amber Banks, and stories of hope from women whose lives have been changed through HNWS programs.
We spoke to Executive Director Amber Wardell about the fundraiser and all the things the local women’s shelter does in the area.
Funraisers like the Farm to Table event are important to keep programs like that going.
As Wardell explains, many people assume they have lots of money coming in from the government – but that’s not the case.
These programs are especially critical when considering where we are located.
Rural areas have their own unique struggles, and Women’s Services does what they can to make sure people have access to help.
Tickets for the October 23 fundraiser are $100 per person or $800 for a table of eight, including dinner, dessert, entertainment, and parking.
The event also features a wine pull (19+) and opportunities for guests to contribute directly to ongoing local initiatives.
Those unable to attend can still donate or sponsor a seat for a woman in need by visiting www.hnws.on.ca
