An 18-year-old from Six Nations is facing multiple charges after fleeing from police in Caledonia.
Haldimand OPP say they responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 54 Friday night and attempted to stop the vehicle.
Instead of pulling over, the driver sped away, prompting a brief police pursuit.
The suspect was located a short time later and taken into custody without injury.
He now faces charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, and driving while under suspension.
Police say the case is another reminder of the dangers of fleeing from law enforcement and the risks such actions pose to the community.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Cayuga on October 28.
