A Norfolk County man has been arrested and faces multiple charges after a violent incident in Delhi earlier this week.
Ontario Provincial Police say officers responded to a home on Imperial Street around 3:40 a.m. Thursday.
According to investigators, several people were inside the residence when an altercation broke out.
Police allege one person physically assaulted another, threatened two individuals, and caused significant property damage during the incident.
As a result, a 32-year-old from Norfolk County was arrested.
He has been charged with assault causing bodily harm — choke, suffocate or strangle, mischief over $5,000, and two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
He remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
The charges have not been proven in court.
