A Norfolk County resident is facing charges after an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigation into intimate partner violence.
On Wednesday, September 17, at around 2:38 p.m., Norfolk OPP received a report of threats at a home in the county.
Police say their investigation found that, during an interaction between two individuals, one person made threats toward the other. It was also discovered that the victim had previously been physically assaulted and had property damaged by the same individual.
As a result, a 50-year-old Norfolk County resident was arrested and charged with uttering threats to damage property, spousal assault, and mischief for destroying or damaging property.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
