A 16-year-old from Carrying Place is facing several charges after a weapons-related incident in Delhi earlier this week.
On Monday, the Norfolk OPP responded to a call on Imperial Street after reports of a dispute between two groups of youths.
Police say that during the altercation, one teen brandished what appeared to be a firearm and physically assaulted another individual.
No injuries were reported.
The accused has been charged with pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon, obstructing a peace officer, and failing to comply with a release order (two counts).
The youth, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
