Young business minds across Norfolk County are getting the chance to turn their ideas into reality through a new program at Art With Heart Studio.
The studio has launched a series of Kids Entrepreneurial Skills workshops, made possible through a Community Economic Development Grant from Venture Norfolk.
We spoke with Executive Director of Art with Heart, Leanne Zyba, about what the program entails.
That last part cannot be understanded.
Zyba said it is a big deal for these kids to have a booth at the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show.
The program, open to youth ages 8 to 16, will guide participants through three workshops.
There are only 8 spots and a lottery will be held if more than 8 kids apply.

With the mentorship, workshops, products, and booth, the end goal is to have these budding businesses thrive.
Applications close on Sunday, September 14.
Workshops will run September 17, September 24, and October 1 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Art With Heart Studio.
