A local business owner and firefighter are being recognized for their lifesaving efforts following a serious collision near Port Dover in June 2024.
When a motorcyclist became trapped under a pickup truck, Henry Eising, owner of Eising’s Garden Centre, used a forklift to lift the vehicle while a firefighter built cribbing to stabilize it.
Their quick actions allowed paramedics to free the victim and provide emergency care.
Eising has since been awarded the OPP Commissioner’s Citation for Lifesaving, with the rescued motorcyclist present to celebrate his bravery.
