Premier Doug Ford blasted spirits maker Diageo for its decision to close the Crown Royal bottling plant in Amherstburg.
The move, expected early next year, will cut about 200 jobs as operations shift to the U.S.
In protest, Ford dumped a bottle of Crown Royal at a press conference, calling the company “dumb as a bag of hammers.”
Diageo says it will continue Canadian operations in Manitoba, Quebec, and the GTA.
