The Brantford Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in three separate investigations this month, ranging from online child exploitation to a missing youth and a downtown nightclub shooting.
Child Pornography Arrest in Brantford
Brantford Police say a 32-year-old man has been arrested following a probe by the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit. On August 19, officers executed a search warrant at a local residence, seizing computers, cellphones, and digital devices. Investigators allege they uncovered evidence of child pornography, leading to charges of accessing and possessing child pornography.
Police noted the accused had travelled extensively and used several online aliases, urging anyone who may have had interactions with him to contact investigators. Authorities continue to stress the importance of public awareness and online safety as these investigations often span multiple jurisdictions.

UPDATE – Halo has been safely located.
Officers are also asking for the public’s help in locating 11-year-old Halo, who was reported missing on August 23. She is described as white, 5’1” tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown eyes and reddish-brown hair. Halo was last seen in the Oak Park Road area, wearing green track pants, a black hoodie, and white and black shoes.
Police say they are concerned for her well-being and ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward immediately. Missing person reports involving children are treated as urgent, and community assistance can play a crucial role in safe recoveries.
Nightclub Shooting Under Investigation
In a third case, Brantford Police continue to investigate a shooting outside a Colborne Street nightclub in the early hours of June 4. Officers were called to the scene at about 12:10 a.m., where they found a male victim suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been released.
