Scotiabank in Simcoe is partnering with Haldimand-Norfolk Women’s Services to collect back-to-school supplies for students in grades JK–12. Donations of backpacks, lunch pails, water bottles, and other school essentials can be dropped off at 54 Norfolk Street North until Monday, August 25, at 4:00 PM.
Port Dover Golf Course is hosting a week of golf fun from Monday, August 25 to Saturday, August 30, 2025. For $85, players enjoy green fees, a cart, and a steak BBQ, while non-golf dinner tickets are available for $22 if preordered. Registration closes August 25.
The Port Dover Lions Club presents Show and Shine every Monday evening through September 29 at Silver Lake Park, 320 St. Patrick Street. Classic and custom cars will be on display from 4:00 PM until dusk, weather permitting. For details, email info@portdoverlions.ca.
Monday Night Bingo returns to the Simcoe Legion. Doors open at 5:00 PM, with early bird games at 6:30 PM and main games at 7:00 PM, featuring a 50/50 draw, a $1,000 jackpot, and over $3,500 in prizes.

Norfolk County Public Library is hosting a walk and candlelight vigil on August 26th for International Overdose Awareness Day, beginning at 5:00 PM at 50 Colborne Street South in Simcoe. Participants will walk to Clifton Park for a remembrance event with speakers and naloxone, honouring lives lost to toxic drug poisoning.
